About

As I am currently a full-time first grade teacher in the Chippewa Valley School District, photography has been a hobby of mine for many years. It started when I was looking for that perfect shot during my boys’ gymnastics meets.
In order to help better the odds that I would get “the” shot I have taken courses and earned my Certificate in Photography from Macomb Community College. Since then my boys left the gymnastics world, but my love of photography has taken root.
Senior photography started as a favor to a friend and has since become something I really enjoy. Giving parents memories of their children to keep forever means a great deal.
I have also found that I love macro and black and white photography. It seems that I am forever looking at something and saying to myself, “that would make a great picture!”
At school I am the official photographer for all of our major school events, especially our spectacular music programs. It’s a wonderful feeling being able to capture the magic as the kids perform for their proud families.
Additionally I am the official photographer for the Macomb County Science Olympiad organization. Again, it is such a rewarding experience capturing the hard work and determination of kids from elementary through high school as they compete.
I am looking forward to pursuing photography full time and trading one rewarding career for another one day.
